How Scheduling Posts Can Help Your Business
by Justin Lewis
For the last week and a half I’ve been sick with shingles. It’s been an up and down stretch of time where I’ve felt fine and then suddenly I’d be in pain for hours. On top of that I started getting fatigue and couldn’t sleep at night. I’m sharing this because something I should have already been practicing is scheduling out posts for the future.
There are many different benefits to scheduling posts, ranging from building out a consistent release schedule to helping your business stay active even when you aren’t able to.
The posts you schedule can be done through your blog, social media, newsletter, whatever form you feel like investing energy. If you’re scheduling a post on your blog you can simply future date it, while on your social media you might need an app like Later or Hootsuite.
A suggestion I’d like to throw out to businesses is to come up with either a series or dedicated day each week to schedule.
For example, we could start a series called “Social Media Monday” which we could schedule posts to release every Monday related to social media. This could then create consistency and make it so our business appears more active.
I could go deeper into this but I’m sure you get the point, start writing for the future so that you can take the load off of yourself for when things don’t go the way you planned.
